The UINL celebrates International Women’s Day with a webinar dedicated to the notariat’s commitment to gender equality

To mark International Women’s Day, the UINL and its “Gender Equality” Working Group, chaired by UINL Honorary President Cristina Armella, organized an online seminar on 9 March 2026 dedicated to the commitment of the notariat within the global public policy agenda on gender equality.

The presentations focused on three main areas:

  • The notariat in support of women’s economic empowerment in entrepreneurship;
  • The role of the notariat in preventing violence, whether physical or economic;
  • The role of the notariat in the technological transition of artificial intelligence: challenges, divides, solutions.

On this occasion, the first volume of the UINL Gender Equality Working Group’s e-book, entitled “The Pioneers of the Notariat. The First Women Notaries and Their Contribution to the History of the Latin Notariat”, was also presented.

This event illustrates the UINL’s ongoing commitment to promoting equality between women and men within the notariat and, more broadly, in the service of society.
