New technologies have been an integral feature of notarial practice for many years, particularly in the context of procedures, which precede or follow the notarial act itself, communication with public bodies and record-keeping. The Covid-19 pandemic and global developments in information technologies have accelerated the use of those technologies in almost all fields; for these reasons, notariats all over the world have needed to develop solutions enabling the profession to operate in this new environment without sacrificing, however, the fundamental principles of notarial practice.
