Following his visit to the notariat of Uzbekistan, the President of the UINL, David Figueroa Marquez, travelled to Ankara to meet with the President of the Turkish notariat, Serdar Arat, and its Board of Directors.
This visit enabled in-depth exchanges on the contemporary challenges facing the notarial profession.
President Figueroa particularly highlighted the development of new notarial technologies, which now make it possible to carry out many acts remotely — notably thanks to dematerialized powers of attorney.
This technological advancement demonstrates the ability of the Turkish notariat to modernize its practices while preserving legal certainty, a fundamental value of the Latin-type notariat.
