The President of the International Union of Notaries (UINL), David Figueroa Márquez, travelled to Uzbekistan to take part in the 3rd National Congress of Notaries of Uzbekistan, held on May 30, 2026, in Nukus city (Republic of Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan).
Held under the theme “Writs of Execution and Securing Evidence: Formalization, Challenges and Proposals”, this high-level event brought together prominent figures from the legal and institutional world, including Farxod Ermanov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Dilshod Ashurov, President of the Notary Chamber of Uzbekistan, and Symbat Ryskulova, President of the Notarial Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic (a new UINL member since 2025). Experts, notaries, and representatives of governmental and public organizations also took part in the event.
In a congratulatory message read at the opening of the Congress, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan highlighted the remarkable progress made in recent years by the notarial profession in terms of digitalization, the expansion of its range of services, and the improvement of access conditions for citizens and business entities — reforms that contribute decisively to the transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of the notarial profession.
