On 7 May 2025, in Washington, the International Union of Notaries, represented by French notary, Elodie Letouche, participated in The World Bank Land Conference 2025, with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
In a session on “Securing Collective Lands: Bridging knowledge gaps for global challenge”, she highlighted the key role of notaries and the importance of preventive justice in recognizing and guaranteeing land rights.
She also presented the FAO-UINL technical guide on responsible governance of tenure and preventive justice.
