Guatemala – Costa Rica – Panama – Honduras, 14-17 July 2026
An official delegation of the International Union of Notaries (UINL), led by its President, Dr. David Figueroa Márquez, paid an official visit to the notariats of Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama and Honduras from 14 to 17 July 2026.
The delegation included Not. Lorena Isabel Flores Estrada, UINL Vice-President for North America, Central America and the Caribbean; Not. Alma Lilia Luna Olivas, head of the UINL Working Group on Anti-Money Laundering; and Not. Alejandra Calderón Flores, Vice-President of the UINL American Affairs Commission (CAAm).
The visit sought to strengthen institutional relations with national authorities and the notariats of the region, to promote the notarial function, to support the modernisation of the legal frameworks governing the Latin-type notariat, and to assist the notariats in developing best practices ahead of the evaluations conducted by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
