The African Affairs Commission (CAAf), composed by 19 African notariats (Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mauritius, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Togo and Tunisia) met in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on April 21, 2025.
Then, from April 23 to 25, the Ivorian notariat welcomed over 700 participants to the Palais des Congrès of Abidjan for the 18th University of African Notariat. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Justice, Mr. Jean Sansan Kambilé, the President of the Chamber of Notaries of the Ivory Coast, Mr. Fulgence Ahobaut-Besset, CAAf President, Mr. Olagnika Salam, and other leading figures from the African notarial profession and high magistrates.
Around the central theme of African legal integration, workshops and discussions focused on participative financing methods, international investment contracts, cross-border successions, matrimonial property regimes and prenuptial agreements.
