116th Plenary Session of the UINL American Affairs Commission (CAAm) – Mexico City, 27–28 August 2026

The  American Affairs Commission of the UINL (CAAm) held its 116th Plenary Session in Mexico City on 27 and 28 August 2026, chaired by Bolivian notary Stenka Geovanna Udaeta España.

The proceedings took place in the presence of the President of the UINL, Not. David Figueroa Márquez, who thus welcomed the delegations of the member notariats of the American continent to his own country. Over two days, the participants reviewed the various activities of the CAAm, which cover the full range of current challenges facing the notarial profession across the continent, through its commissions: Human Rights Commission; IT and Legal Certainty Commission; Commission on Access to and Exercise of the Notarial Function; Land Titling, Registries and Cadastres Commission; Succession and Non-Contentious Proceedings Commission; Mediation Commission; Continental Integration and Treaty Analysis Commission; Anti-Money Laundering Commission; Gender Equality Commission; Young Notaries (Noveles) Commission, etc.

This work illustrates the vitality of the CAAm and its commitment to issues at the heart of the UINL’s action: legal certainty in the digital age, the fight against money laundering, access to property ownership through land titling, gender equality and the training of young notaries.
