09/11/2023 On November 9th, 2023, in Brasilia (Brazil), UINL President, Lionel Galliez, and the Secretary-General of the International Association of Judges (IAJ), Giacomo Oberto, signed an important contribution agreement between the IAJ and the UINL, with the aim of meeting the objectives of good administration of justice and decongestion of the courts.
The signature of the agreement marked the end of an excellent day's conference, organised by the UINL and the Colégio Notarial do Brasil, on the theme of dejudicialisation. Notaries from all over the world came to discuss possibilities of relieving the courts of a series of non-contentious tasks, and to make the administration of justice more efficient.
This agreement has been concluded within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement signed between the International Association of Judges and the International Union of Notaries, on September 29th, 1994.
IAJ was also represented in that event by IAJ First Vice President and President of the Ibero-American Regional Group, Mr Walter Barone (Brazil).
