Noticias International seminar on "The future of civil law notaries: ensuring inclusive and safe digital economy"

The Asian Affairs Commission will hold an international seminar on "The future of civil law notaries: ensuring inclusive and safe digital economy" from July 21 to 22, 2023 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia (Yogyakarta Marriot Hotel).
Secure digital economy which is the central theme of this seminar must be interpreted broadly. The security in question includes not only technical security in the context of digitalization, but also security in terms of compliance with the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing practices. A safe economy must also be interpreted as an economy that can provide stable and sustainable economic growth for the community, including inclusive development by economic actors, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises, in order to provide equitable welfare for all levels of society without exception.
The seminar will hear from four panels:
The Role of a Notary to Carry Trust and Provide Legal Certainty in Inclusive Economic Growth.
In this sub-theme, views will be heard regarding the role of notaries in supporting the role of Cooperatives and MSMEs, prioritizing foreign investment, encouraging cooperation between various civil-law countries, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Role of a Notary to Carry Trust and Provide Legal Certainty in a Safe Economy.
In this sub-theme, views will be heard regarding the role of notaries in preventing the practice of money laundering and financing of terrorism (AML/CTF) and regarding best practices from UINL member countries in this regard.
The Role of a Notary to Carry Trust and Provide Legal Certainty in Digital Economy.
In this sub-theme, views will be heard regarding technological developments in the field of law, especially in the public sector in the civil sector, as well as the role of notaries in educating or advocating for these developments. This sub-theme will also hear about practices regarding the use and use of technology in the notary sector.
The Role of Notary in International Cooperation in Achieving Inclusive and Safe Digital Economy.
In this sub-theme, you will hear developments and views from representatives of UINL member countries regarding future forms of world civil-law notary cooperation, which include forms and directions of cooperation to advance the world economy.
