14/03/2023 The 11th edition of the World Notariat University "Jean-Paul DECORPS" returns to its original format, with courses in videoconferences, followed by a closing weeklong workshop, which will take place in Rome (Italy).
Young notaries from UINL Member Notariats are invited to apply for this exceptional training, before April 30, 2023
Presentation of the training
The World Notariat University "Jean-Paul DECORPS" is an academic training proposed by UINL in Spanish, French and English. It intends to enable the understanding and application of the concepts of comparative law and international law through exchanges of good notarial practices.
The training cycle will be organized around the following transversal theme fixed for the duration of the legislature (2023-2025): " Respecting Public Policy (“Ordre public”): an essential mission of the Notariat, a constant challenge for the notary ".
This theme is addressed through four modules, each led by a Professor:
-FAMILY (Prof. Cristina Armella, Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and notary), i
-PERSON (Prof. Christine Morin, Professor at the University of Laval, Québec, Canada and notary emeritus),
-ESTATE (Prof.em. Luc Weyts, University of Louvain, Belgium and notary emeritus),
-SUCCESSIONS (Prof.em. Michel Grimaldi, University PANTHEON-ASSAS, Paris, France).
Provisional agenda
- Opening webinar, on May 12, 2023;
- Intermediary workshop online: beginning of June 2023
- Closing weeklong workshop, in Rome, Italy: from 3 to 7 of July, 2023
Selection of candidates
The selection of candidates is established by each Member Notariat. Each Notariat is entitled to present 1 or 2 students.
The fees are USD 350.00 or EUR 350.00 per participant.
Application form must be sent to the National Chamber with cover letter and resume before April 30, 2023.
