News A young notary finalist of the UN Global Youth Video Competition
26/08/2019 The United Nations organized for the fifth year in a row the Global Youth Video Competition. This competition allows young people from 18 to 30 to show their actions to combat climate change.
This year competition was divided into 3 categories :
1. Nature-based solutions for food and human health;
2. Cities and local action to combat climate change;
3. Balancing use of land for people and ecosystems.
The judges selected a shortlist of 20 videos for each of the three categories. The finalist videos are now available on Youtube.
Laurine HEUDIARD, a young notary from France is one of the finalists. She took part in the competition in the “Balancing use of land for people and ecosystems” category, presenting the International Union of Notaries' actions to achieve this goal, notably through responsible land governance, ensuring Gender Equality in Land Tenure, the need to build vertically to protect rural areas and the way to organize vertical buildings using the condo kit.
The 20 finalist videos will be shown at the UN Climate change summit organized by the UN General Secretary in September in New York City.
Voting are now open until September 7. The winning video will be the most seen video. The winner will have the chance to attend the COP25 in Chile in December 2019 as a young reporter.
