On February 21, 2025, the Steering Committee of the International Union of Notaries (UINL) met in Hanoi, Vietnam. The venue was chosen in line with President Galliez's strong desire to hold at least one UINL institutional meeting on the Asian continent, a key region of the world undergoing rapid economic and legal development.

On this occasion, the members of the Steering Committee reflected with the Asian notariats on the strategic place the notariat in Asia and its social and economic role.

During his stay, President Galliez also met the Vietnamese Minister of Justice. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the reforms underway in Vietnam, concerning land tenure and notarial law, the key role of notaries in legal certainty, and the digital transformation of the profession.
