News The Spanish Notariat awarded for its action in favor of persons with disabilities
05/12/2023 Almudena Castro-Girona, President of the UINL Human Rights Commission and Director of the Spanish Foundation Aequitas received yesterday the CERMI award (Committee of Entities Representing People with Disabilities) from the Community of Valencia. The prize was awarded to AEQUITAS, the NGO of the Spanish Notarial Council, in the category Impact of the International Convention on Persons with Disabilities.
The jury highlighted the work carried out by the Aequitas Foundation to strengthen the competencies of the notarial profession and other professionals in order to improve the rights, inclusion and social participation of people with disabilities and in situations of vulnerability.
