REMINDER
The 10th Edition of the World Notariat University "Jean-Paul DECORPS" will be held online this year and close the 2020-2022 cycle.
Presentation of the training
The World Notariat University "Jean-Paul DECORPS" is an academic training proposed by UINL in Spanish, French and English. It intends to enable the understanding and application of the concepts of comparative law and international law through the exchange of good notarial practices.
The training cycle is organized around a transversal theme fixed for the duration of the legislature (2020-2022): "The notary: a protagonist for legal security in civil law: Protection of the citizen - Protection of society". This theme is addressed through four modules, each led by a professor: family (Not. Dra. Cristina Armella, UINL President), Person (Pr. Christine Morin), Estate (Pr. Luc Weyts), Successions (Pr. Michel Grimaldi).
After the sub-themes 2020 "Reaction and adaptability of the notarial function in the context of the pandemic" and 2021 "The notarial function and the notarial authentic instrument in a digital context", the 2022 University will focus on the following sub-theme: “Function of notaries 4.0”.
The participants benefit from a two-part training course. On the one hand, on a specific module, within a group that shares the same working language as the teacher to encourage spontaneous exchanges. On the other hand, with all the other participants, during global seminars with simultaneous interpretation, to overcome the language barrier and broaden the discussions.
The 2022 Edition will start with an opening webinar on Tuesday 5 July 2022 and will end with two closing webinars on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 October 2022. Exchanges during the intermediate period will be carried out between students and teachers by e-mail, videos and video-conference workshops.
Following the University, each participating Notariat will be provided with the final work. The work of the University will also be presented at the International Congress of Notaries in Cancun (Mexico) from 1er to 3 December 2022. On this occasion, we will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the World Notariat University "Jean-Paul DECORPS"!
Selection of candidates
The selection of candidates is established by each Member Notariat. Each Notariat is entitled to have a minimum of 2 students participate. However, it is possible for Notariats wishing to do so to submit more applications, with an order of priority and, as much as possible, a diversity of languages mastered by the candidates (English/Spanish/French). Indeed, once the registration period is closed, UINL may increase the number of participants admitted per country according to the total number of applications received.
The fees are USD 300.00 or EUR 250.00 per participant. This includes online training by professors (webinars and workshops), platforms for exchange between students and access to all the University's documents, in text and video format. This new virtual edition is a great opportunity to follow an international training without having to travel.
Application form to be sent to the National Chamber with cover letter and Resume before May 15, 2022.
