News Death of honorary President Mr Gilles Demers
15/11/2017 The UINL honorary President Mr Gilles DEMERS from Quebec, Canada, died on 1st October 2017.
The members of the International Union of Notaries pay tribute to him highlighting his successful professional career in particular within the UINL. During his mandate (1990-1992) he carried out new policies to strengthen the presence and opening of the Union: vis-à-vis its member Notariats, the international organizations and other legal associations.
The UINL also emphasises that during his mandate 8 new notariats coming from Eastern Europe and Africa have been admitted and the Administrative Secretariat in Rome was created.
