30^th Conference of European Civil-Law Notaries , Salzburg, 19-20 April 2018

 

Ladies and gentlemen,

Dear friends of the Conference of European Civil-Law Notaries,

 

For almost 30 years, the Austrian Chamber of Civil-Law Notaries has organized the annual Conference of European Civil-Law Notaries in Salzburg which, traditionally, deals with European

policy issues that are relevant for notaries and judicial policy. During this time, the Conference of European Civil-Law Notaries has been able to firmly establish itself in the process of

opinion-forming and discussion on the further development of European legal policy. The general theme of this year’s conference on 20 April 2018 is

 

The Notary and Consumer Protection in a Digital World.

Protecting Rights – Seizing Opportunities.

 

In the face of upcoming digitisation in the different areas, specifically - but not only – in company law, customers need a reliable point of contact to ensure that legal certainty is not at risk.

For this reason, our meeting will focus on the role of the notary in consumer protection in the context of notarial service provision, including real-estate purchases and digital company formation.
