26/06/2024 The European Affairs Commission, chaired by Italian notary Valentina Rubertelli, met in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 20 and 21 June 2024
The first day was dedicated to a conference organised by the European Notarial Academy on the subject of notarial competences in succession matters. Notaries from Belgium, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania and Greece demonstrated the full range of their competences, from estate planning to estate settlement. The round table was moderated by Greek notary Sofia Mouratidou.
On the second day, the Bureau of the CAE presented the results of its major study on the transfer of competences from judges to notaries in non-contentious matters in Europe.
