Gender equality in land ownership and control in the Western Balkans: Looking back,looking ahead

Earlier this year, the joint approach of FAO, GIZ and UINL on “Partnerships for gender equality in land ownership and control. Good Practices from the Western Balkans and beyond” was selected by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs to feature in the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) registry of good practices.
This virtual conference will showcase proven approached and lessons learned from eight years of collaboration between FAO, GIZ and UINL in the Western Balkans, and provide an opportunity for sharing plans on future action to improve gender equality in land ownership and control.
In particular, it will offer a new understanding of how regional cooperation among national actors and development partners can support the achievement of the SDG targets.
